Hazard set on leaving
The worst of the storm has passed, but problems still lie ahead for Chelsea, if reports are to be believed.
The Daily Mail speculate this morning that Eden Hazard is set on leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, though, fortunately enough, he will remain past the end of this month.
We don’t think there was ever any doubt concerning the latter point anyway, but, in any case, the most important element is that he wants to leave.
PSG and Real Madrid are obvious frontrunners, with the Mail saying he’s resigned to departing.
His exit would be a big blow for the Blues, that's for sure:
Drogba refutes retirement claims
Elsewhere, Blues legend Didier Drogba has taken to Twitter to deny emerging reports that he’s retired from playing.
The news broke last night, with sources claiming that the Ivorian had hung up his boots for good. Drogba said, however, he was still in discussions concerning his future.
Chelsea's offer for Guardiola
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s search for a new long-term manager continues but they won’t give up hope of luring Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge.
The London Evening Standard say that Man City are outright favourites to become the Spaniard’s next club, but Chelsea have put a huge contract offer on the table plus the promise of a transfer kitty that would enable him to build the squad he wants.
