Currently, WWE has the likes of Randy Orton, Konor from The Ascension, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Sin Cara, Nikki Bella, Daniel Bryan, Sting and John Cena all on the treatment table.
This isn't as bad as when Rollins was first injured and WWE had to bring back Alberto Del Rio to take the US Championship and promote Sheamus to World Championship level so that Roman Reigns had a credible feud in order to carry WWE for the last few weeks.
Roman Reigns and Sheamus have done a great job of papering over the cracks over the past few months and Vince McMahon's involvement in the story line has also helped with ratings since the drop following Rollins injury back in October.
WILL CENA BE MISSED?
WWE has proved over the past few weeks whilst John Cena was busy filming his new fitness programme, that even in the midst of an injury crisis, they didn't have to recall the face of the company.
Cena returned last week and he faced Del Rio for the United States Championship which means that he really doesn't have a claim to the Championship anymore and, in fact, Kalisto is now the Number One Contender.
This means that Cena isn't actually needed on WWE TV for the foreseeable future.
The one worrying thing for fans now is that Cena missing WrestleMania will mean that Cena vs Undertaker will be officially off the table, which means The Deadman's match at Mania is now a mystery.
Whether that is necessarily a bad thing is down to individual judgement, but with NXT bursting to the seams with talent and the main roster doing quite well without their patriarch, maybe now is the time that Cena does begin to wind down his career and WWE realise that the show can go on without him.
