The WWE was rocked again this week by another huge injury blow to one of their top stars as John Cena confirmed that he would be undergoing shoulder surgery.
Cena is expected to be out for anywhere between 6-9 months which means that he is likely to miss WrestleMania and will now have to be written off TV for a while.
With the Royal Rumble just over two weeks away, the injury to Cena will now surely mean a big change to the plans for the event.

With the Royal Rumble match now for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the other titles being defended at the event will now become more important.
One of those titles is the United States Championship with the champion Alberto Del Rio looking for a challenger.
The original plans for Cena at the Royal Rumble have now been revealed and it turns out he was set for a US title match.
Del Rio took the title off of Cena back at Hell in a Cell and the two have already had one rematch since then.
The Rumble could have been the chance to put the title on Cena ahead of WrestleMania but that is now out of the question.
While the plans now for Del Rio appear open, rumours are that a new challenger for him has already been selected.
Member of the Lucha Dragons and high flyer Kalisto is rumoured to be the man who will challenge for the US title at the Royal Rumble.
A growing list
The current injury list in the WWE is filled with some top class talent from up and down the roster.
Seth Rollins, Sting, Randy Orton and now Cena cap a list of top talents who are currently missing from action due to injury which will surely mean that the WWE will have to promote some new faces to the top of the roster.
