We are just over two weeks away from the annual Royal Rumble and this year's event looks set to be one of the biggest in recent years.

Mr McMahon made the announcement this past Monday that the 30-man main event will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for just the second time in WWE history.

Looking ahead.

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar makes his return to RAW on Monday night and the expectation is that he will declare as an entrant into the Royal Rumble.

Lesnar isn't the only 'legend' to declare for this year's match as Chris Jericho made his return to RAW on Monday night  and announced his participation.

So both Jericho and Lesnar are going to at least be at the Royal Rumble event, but their WWE runs will go even further than that.

The Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland,Ohio will be the home of WWE Fastlane in February and it has officially began advertising Fastlane.

The advert lists some of the names that will appearing at the show and amongst them is both Jericho and Lesnar.

Despite being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the time, Lesnar did not make an appearance at the event last year.

Clearly the WWE are looking to use their returning stars a lot in the build up to WrestleMania but everyone is wondering what roles they play?

Odds on favourite?

If Lesnar does return on Monday night and declare as an entrant in the Royal Rumble, the question becomes, is he the odds on favourite?

With his WrestleMania XXXI opponent Roman Reigns also in the match as the defending champion, Lesnar will face some stern competition.

Who will prove to be the favourite for the Royal Rumble is anyone's guess but Lesnar will have to be in the discussion should he announce his participation.
