The UFC had something of a breakthrough year in 2015, thanks in large part to two standout fighters as both Conor McGregor and Holly Holm helped raise the sport to a new level with their victories at UFC 193 and UFC 194 respectively.
And, judging by reports today, it looks like the UFC are planning on combining the star power of both fighters to ensure an even more successful 2016.
According to Bleacher Report's Jeremy Botter, the UFC plan to have both McGregor and Holm co-main event March's UFC 197 event.

In revealing the sensational card, Botter also told fans who will be the opponents in Las Vegas.
McGregor, the current featherweight champion after his 13-second KO victory over Jose Aldo, will actually be moving up a weight category to take on Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title.
Holm meanwhile, it what will be her first time back in the Octagon since she stunned the world in defeating Ronda Rousey, will fight Miesha Tate.
There was some expectation late last year that Holm's next fight would be a rematch against Rousey. However, with the latter currently busy in Hollywood, it looks like the UFC aren't willing to keep their women's champion out of the spotlight much longer.
The UFC 197 match card is yet to be confirmed by the organization themselves, but, if the reports do prove to be accurate, it would be most likely be the biggest night in UFC's history.
If McGregor and Holm can match their 2015 exploits, there won't be any 'likely' about it.
