It’s no secret that Arsenal fans are a dedicated bunch, willing to give their all for the Gunners whatever the cost.

But one fan took that sentiment to a whole new level, after using his own wedding speech to raise a toast to in-form midfielder Mesut Ozil.

The Germany international has racked up 16 assists and three goals for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, with many tipping the no.10 to be named PFA Player of the Year.

It’s a return that means Ozil is on course to break the record for the highest number of assists in a single season, currently held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry with 20.

Yet for all the furore surrounding the 27-year-old’s form this term, few could have predicted that Ozil would play a part in an Arsenal fan’s nuptials.

That’s proved to be the case, however, with life-long supporter Ben Kean uploading a video on Twitter of a wedding speech supposed to be for his wife, but ended up a tribute to Arsenal's playmaker.

Having started his speech by praising a 'very special person', whom he 'loved from the bottom of his heart', it soon became apparent just who Ben was expressing his affection towards.

He told a room packed with friends and family: "I know it’s really hard to find a person who can make you feel this way and I’m never ever going to take them for granted.

"So can you please make a toast… To Mesut Ozil."

The video has since gone viral and even captured the attention of Ozil himself, who responded in typically brilliant fashion and invited the couple to a game at the Emirates.

And following Theo Walcott's kind gesture of celebrating with a fan on pitch and giving him his shirt following the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, the gifts just keep on coming at Arsenal - a refreshing sight to see.

It just goes to show professional footballers are far more appreciative of their fans - especially at the Emirates - than they're given credit for.
