RG3 leaves behind inspirational note after clearing out Redskins locker

Published 1 Comments

With the Washington Redskins having succumbed to a 35-18 defeat to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night in the Wild Card round of the 2015 NFL playoffs, their season is now over.

What that means, beyond the end of their Super Bowl 50 dreams, is that the players have spent today clearing out their lockers as they prepare to head off into the offseason.

Since becoming the star of the franchise, and indeed the NFL, during his rookie season in 2012, Griffin has endured one of the most talked about falls from grace in recent memory.

The message left behind, whether used by himself during the difficult periods that have led to his likely Redskins exit or for the player who takes his locker in 2016, certainly feels very apt at this stage of RG3's career.

Having been inactive for all but one game this season, and a huge $15 million salary due should Washington keep him on the roster next season, Griffin knows he'll be playing elsewhere come OTAs. Just where that will be, and what lies next, is anyone's guess.
