If you’re an in-the-know Chelsea fan you’ll be aware of Branislav Ivanovic’s various transfer links in recent times. Indeed, speculation had it pegged that the Serbian was to leave Stamford Bridge in the near future - remember his contract is out this summer. Or is it? The Times now say the right-back has agreed a one-year extension with the Blues and is likely to put pen to paper in the near future. He’ll also have the option of a further 12 months if he plays a certain amount of games. Elsewhere, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also in line for a new deal, with the club hopeful he’ll sign a new five-year extension soon. The powers that be will look to double his wages to around £40,000-a-week, with it believed he will be an important player in the future.
