Zinedine Zidane wants Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to become his first ‘Galactico’ signing as manager of Real Madrid.
This is according to Spanish newspaper AS, who understand that Zidane is prepared to go head-to-head with Barcelona for the France international’s signature.
Pogba’s asking price has been set at €100 million, according to the same report, but that staggering fee is unlikely to deter either of Spain’s big two.

Pogba attended the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Zurich on Monday and was very cosy with players from both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The 22-year-old made sure he got selfies with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, while he was never too far away from Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
He also admitted it would be a “dream” to play alongside Messi - so the world-class midfielder is clearly keeping his options open.
Pogba admires Zidane, but is enticed by the MSN

Ultimately, where Pogba eventually ends up will probably be decided by which of the two clubs offers the most money - not only to the player, but also his agent and his current employers.
La Liga move more likely than PL return
At this stage, it’s difficult to imagine Pogba snubbing either of the Spanish giants in favour of a return to the Premier League.
While the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and his former club Manchester United would love to bring him back to England, Pogba appears to have his heart set on a move to La Liga.
