Simon Mignolet set to sign new Liverpool deal until 2020

Published Add your comment

Simon Mignolet is to sign a new deal with Liverpool that will extend his stay at Anfield until 2020, according to reports. Sky sources lead the charge, so it’s a rumour you can safely invest in, with it looking like Mignolet will be at least competing for the number one spot on Merseyside for many years yet. Of course, he’s been criticised at times for not being consistent enough - Klopp though clearly believes him capable. Meanwhile, Klopp himself attempted to explain his decision to sign Steven Caulker on loan yesterday, insisting the club had opted for Premier League experience. The German described Caulker as the best solution to his defensive troubles. Only time will tell, but it does look promising.
