St Louis Rams to move to LA after NFL owners vote

Published Add your comment

For those who think the St Louis Rams has a bit of a ring to it, prepare for disappointment. The franchise is moving back to Los Angeles, following a vote of NFL owners. Rams chief Stan Kroenke described it as the most difficult process of his professional career, with St. Louis residents now facing a 1,800 mile trip if they want to watch their team. Owners voted 30 to two in favour of the Rams, who must pay the NFL a $550m relocation fee. The Los Angeles Rams, they will become. And that’s not all, they could yet be joined by the San Diego Chargers, who have a one-year option to follow. If the Chargers opt not to then the opportunity will transfer to the Oakland Raiders.
