Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen has blasted Leicester by criticising their negative route-one tactics.
The Foxes left White Hart Lane with all three points after Robert Huth’s header consigned Spurs to their third Premier League defeat of the season.
The win put Claudio Ranieri’s men level with league leaders Arsenal but Tottenham’s central defender was far from impressed with their tactics.

“They played their same game. They play the ball up to their strikers and are good from set pieces. We knew they would do that. They play that game very well,” the Belgian said.
“They always approach every game in the same way so we knew what to expect – they kick every ball they get long and run. And when they don’t have the ball they all defend. But I suppose it works for them.”
Mauricio Pochettino’s men remain in fourth but are now seven points behind Wednesday night’s opponents and their North London rivals.
The 28-year old went on to admit his frustrations as Leicester’s defenders often man-handled him and his teammates during set-pieces.
“Yes. They know what they are doing in every single way of the game. Everyone knows what their qualities are. It’s frustrating but they prepare well,” he added.
Vertonghen may not have to wait too long to get his revenge on Leicester as the two sides meet for the third time in ten days in their FA Cup third round replay.
The two teams played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane last weekend and will battle it out once again at the King Power Stadium on January 20.
