Triple H vs Roman Reigns rumored to headline WrestleMania 32 [Wrestling Observer]

Published 9 Comments

The latest rumor flying around the WWE Universe not only indicates what the main event of WrestleMania 32 might be, but also the outcome of the Royal Rumble.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via NoDQ, Triple H vs Roman Reigns is expected to headline WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Of course, this wasn't the WWE's original plan, but due to injuries to the likes of Seth Rollins and John Cena, plans had to be altered. Rollins was scheduled to face The Game first until he sustained a knee injury, and Cena was going to go up against The Undertaker but that match was called off after Cena picked up a shoulder injury.

If Triple H vs Reigns is to headline WrestleMania 32, then it could indicate the outcome of the Royal Rumble next month. There is no mention that the match will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in this rumor, which means there could be several possible outcomes at the Royal Rumble.

First all, The Big Dog could walk in and out of the event as champion after Triple H's poor attempts to take the title away from him after sending heel after heel star into the Rumble to try and defeat him. The Game decides to attempt to take the title away from him himself, as he believes he is the only one good enough to do so.

Seeing Reigns finally triumphant over Triple H will build him strongly into what WWE has planned into the new year, which should be either a feud against a returning Rollins or Dean Ambrose after one of them turns heel.

Secondly, The Game and Reigns could be the last two competitors in the Rumble. Triple H eliminates Reigns unfairly, thanks to the work of the League of Nations, to be the last man standing and the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The Big Dog demands his rematch the next night on Raw, but The Authority decides that he must go through Brock Lesnar at Fastlane to get this match. Lesnar puts Reigns over, yes you read that correctly, as this move would benefit the WWE greatly, and we have our match.

My final possible Rumble outcome is Triple H eliminates Reigns from the Rumble similarly to how Kane eliminated CM Punk a couple of years back. Reigns could eliminate Triple H early on, only for The Game to come back when The Big Dog was in the final three, leaving Lesnar to walk out as champion.

WrestleMania 30 Press Conference

Reigns has his scheduled rematch with Lesnar at Fastlane, fails to win, and blames The Game for his loss and demands a match on the grandest wrestling stage of them all to act his revenge. Hell in a Cell perhaps?

Even if all of these three outcomes don't happen, the WWE Universe should still be excited about a rumored Triple H vs Reigns main event at WrestleMania 32, as it is bound to live up to expectation.
