Louis van Gaal to take a back seat regarding Manchester United transfers

Published Add your comment

Louis van Gaal has made one transfer gaff too many, according to reports in the Daily Mail. The paper’s Neil Ashton this morning claims that the Dutchman is to take a back-seat in the future in favour of executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, with United clearly not impressed by his dealings. Remember Van Gaal has thus far spent around a quarter of a billion pounds, without much success. We’d say it’s fairer to give him until the end of the season, but, then, we don’t own a football club. Moving on, there’s another reported change on the horizon at Old Trafford, with academy chief Derek Langley set to quit. For those unfamiliar he had a big hand in helping the likes of Danny Welbeck and Adnan Januzaj - apparently he’s become frustrated with the lack of player recruitment.
