It didn’t take long for Chip Kelly to land himself a new job in the NFL after being let go by the Philadelphia Eagles. The 52-year-old has been appointed as the new head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and will apparently receive a four-year deal worth $24million. 49ers CEO Jed York said he had conducted a thorough search before deciding on Kelly, who himself promised to embrace the challenges ahead. Elsewhere, irrespective of ongoing speculation regarding his contract, Drew Brees will remain the QB for the New Orleans Saints, general manager Mickey Loomis has confirmed. Brees looming $30m dollar cap has led people to believe that he would entertain trade offers this offseason. Loomis, however, reassured fans that Brees will be his quarterback.
