Robert Lewandowski is used to being called brilliant, fantastic, talented and several other superlatives.
Though it’s highly unlikely the Poland striker has ever been called a bride. Until now.
That was the comparison Lewandowski’s agent made when commenting on Bayern Munich’s interest in Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has publicly declared he has enquired about signing Higuain but Lewandowski’s agent Maik Barthel doesn’t think the Bavarians should get their chequebook out.
“When you have a beautiful bride, you should not be after other brides,” Barthel told Bild, reported ESPN.
Rummenigge revealed his interest in Higuain but Napoli refused to sell.
“Higuain is a fantastic player, we at Bayern like him,” reported ESPN. “My friend [Napoli chairman] Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to sell.”
Higuain and Lewandowski are both enjoying fantastic seasons for their clubs. Higuain leads the Serie A goalscoring chart with 18 goals while Lewandowski has netted 23 times this season.
The Independent on Sunday revealed that Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid are preparing a five-way auction for Lewandowski.
The 27-year-old, whose contract with Munich runs until 2019, will cost £70 million.
