In just six days time, the WWE universe will be tuned in to watch the 2016 Royal Rumble, with the main event being the over the top rope 30-man elimination match.
The build-up has been steady and although it hasn't made for great TV, the hype around such a prestigious event is still there and I for one cannot wait to be sitting in front of my TV watching the Royal Rumble on the WWE Network for $9.99.
So without looking into the whole card for Sunday's PPV, I am just going to focus in on the 30-man Royal Rumble match itself.

Now as we all know, thanks to Vincent Kennedy McMahon, the Royal Rumble match will be the WWE Championship match. This means Roman Reigns will be defending his title against 29 other superstars, with the majority of them all being on the side of 'The Authority'.
Defending The Title
Now although the storyline is VERY familiar, mainly because they used it for Stone Cold Steve Austin back in the Attitude Era and also for Daniel Bryan before his serious neck injury, using 'The Authority' against Reigns has slowly but surely got him over with the fans.

It's well known that last year's Royal Rumble was horrific. It was predictable and the moment Reigns won it the roof erupted....with boos. Ever since he was booed out of every building and for that reason, WWE scrapped making him the champion.
Fast forward 12-months and FINALLY the WWE have Reigns over with the majority of the fans (me NOT being one of them), and that's because of the writing and the storyline.
Reigns vs 'The Authority' (told you it sounded familiar). For the past few weeks, WWE had Reigns beat up Triple H, beat up Vince McMahon and even toss Stephanie McMahon over the ropes and into the ring.
This decision has finally got the crowd on Reigns' side, but how will the Royal Rumble go down? Vince stacked the odds against the champion by making it a championship match, but we all know how it's going to end.
Reigns will win the Rumble and cement himself even further as the underdog and how he can overcome everything 'The Authority' throws at him. However, I can see a bit of a twist up coming at the end. Picture this.
The final few contestants are in the ring fighting, maybe a couple of 'League of Nations' are left, and then the countdown for number-30 begins.
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.......It's time to play the Game....Time to play the Game! Yes, I think Triple H will be the number-30 entrant as he tries to seek revenge against Roman Reigns.
Do I think Hunter will win the Rumble? Maybe, but whatever happens, it sets their match up nicely for Wrestlemania 32.
