Man United could replace De Gea with Kasper Schmeichel

Published Add your comment

Imagine a world wherein David De Gea actually left Manchester United. Well, before too long it might not have to be imagined as, according to reports, Real Madrid will move for him again this summer if they can overturn their transfer embargo. If they can do as much, obviously a replacement will be needed - step forward Kasper Schmeichel. No, we’re not joking, The Sun say Ryan Giggs would prefer Schmeichel to Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic. Obviously there’s a lot of ifs and buts with this rumour, but it’s a rumour nonetheless. Elsewhere, Adnan Januzaj’s return to United got off to a good start, with the Belgian winger having bagged a brace during the club’s U21 fixture with Southampton last night. Yes, it’s only the U21s, but positive stuff all the same.
