Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has revealed his Premier League team of the season so far.

In a column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp selected as many as four Arsenal stars in his side; Petr Cech takes the number one position while the trio of Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil also feature.

Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld partners Leicester City defender Wes Morgan at the heart of the defence. In midfield, Ozil is joined by Leicester's N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez while England international Dele Alli also makes the team.

Redknapp's attack is pretty useful; with 30 Premier League goals between them this season, top scorers Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku feature up front.

Ultimately, then, Redknapp has failed to select a player from Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City or Chelsea.

Manchester United prediction

As well as selecting his team of the season so far, the former Liverpool man has also made a bold prediction about Manchester United after they secured an important victory at Anfield on Sunday.

Redknapp has insisted that Louis van Gaal's side can challenge for the title if they manage to beat Southampton and Stoke City in their next two outings.

In his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp stated: "In this remarkable season of the unexpected, Manchester United are now seven points off the top. Do not underestimate what Sunday’s win at Liverpool will do for their dressing room.

"They have two home games to follow — Southampton and then Stoke — and if they can get up a head of steam, we may be looking at a three-team title race."
