People have been saying for a while now that the WWE has run out of original ideas.
That seems to have now just been confirmed and it is incredibly embarrassing for the Creative Team, as it appears they are now just recycling ideas from the Attitude Era - when things were so much better.
This is after one intrepid fan today posted a video to YouTube from 1998, which was ripped off for a segment on yesterday's edition of Monday Night Raw.

Last night on RAW, Vince McMahon and Stephanie brought out a golden tumbler with several balls in it, which would determine who would be enter the Royal Rumble first overall. The draw was obviously rigged and Roman Reigns was the name picked out by Vince.
If that seems similar, it should. Because they did exactly the same thing on the December 14th 1998 show on RAW, where Vince and Shane McMahon (please come back soon) were drawing Stone Cold Steve Austin's number for where he would enter the 1999 Rumble. Shockingly, he was also 1st overall.
It's exactly the same segment! The only difference is that the one from 1999 happened in the ring and last night's debacle was at the top of the ramp, along with a drum roll that seemed to annoy Vince.

It's pretty pathetic that the WWE are rehashing the Stone Cold vs The Authority storyline for Roman Reigns, to try and get the Samoan over. Reigns just isn't the incredibly loved babyface that Austin was. And he is nowhere near as talented on the mic as Stone Cold.
Let's all just hope that Vince doesn't end up winning this Rumble like he did in '99.
