WWE give R-Truth special birthday celebration after SmackDown tapings

Published 1 Comments

WWE's SmackDown tapings took place last night, and the show put together the final pieces needed before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event this weekend.

Once the main event was over, the atmosphere changed into a celebration for one superstar on the roster in particular, R-Truth.

The Truth, who has spent over 10 years with the WWE, was given an opportunity to celebrate his 44th birthday with his peers in the ring after SmackDown.

As you can see in the video below provided by WWE on their YouTube channel, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns started off the celebrations, inviting everyone down to the ring from the locker room to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy.

The Big Dog even jokingly said that they call him immortal because even though he moves like he is 24, he is actually 50-years-old, for which the former United States Champion replied: "I am not 50-years-old!"

When he was asked how old he actually was, he said: "Whoomp! There it is." R-Truth's music then hit the arena and he did some dancing in the middle of the ring to end the clip. Many fans will be annoyed though because the heel wrestlers broke kayfabe to join the birthday celebrations in the ring.

The former Tag Team Champion is one of the most lovable superstars on the WWE roster thanks to his comical stylings and his charisma, and it's good to see the WWE take the time to give Truth some worthy recognition on his birthday and the respect which he deserves.
