Published Add your comment

Has he been performing well, no. Does he have a long-term future at Liverpool, yes. Christian Benteke is set to stay at Anfield. That’s what Jurgen Klopp has insisted, saying that the idea of him leaving is out of the question. Klopp also confirmed he had considered signing the Belgian forward whilst in charge of Borussia Dortmund, describing him as a ‘complete striker’. Benteke currently has six goals and two assists in the Premier League this season. Moving on, Steven Gerrard garnered attention yesterday with a somewhat emotional Instagram tribute for ex-teammate Jon Flanagan. The latter is close to completing his long-awaited return from injury having not played for the Reds in over 600 days. Gerrard said ‘we have missed you’.
