Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has insisted that Jurgen Klopp needs time to come good at Anfield.
As reported by Goal.com, the former England international, who departed Merseyside at the end of last season, has suggested that the revered manager needs a couple of transfer windows to get things right at the club.
Klopp, of course, has had a mixed start to life on English soil, failing to really improve his side's fortunes in the Premier League.

The German coach has enjoyed success in cup competitions - Liverpool remain in the Europa League, Capital One Cup and FA Cup - but his side's league form has been disappointing.
Indeed, after Sunday's defeat at home to rivals Manchester United, Liverpool are way off the pace in the race to secure Champions League football. Currently sitting in ninth position, Liverpool trail fourth-placed Tottenham by eight points.

But Gerrard has insisted that patience is key for Liverpool in their pursuit of success under the former Borussia Dortmund man.
The Liverpool hero stated: "I think we need to give Klopp a couple of transfer windows and more time and maybe a full preseason with the team to get used to each other and get his stamp on the way he wants to play and his tactics.
"I think it's patience at Liverpool, but I'm very confident that Jurgen Klopp can improve things and bring success to the club because he's a fantastic manager.
"It's a results business. They need to prove that they belong in the top four by playing well and finding consistency.
"Liverpool, it's very difficult for them to compete with Manchester City and Chelsea, but that's the same for 90 percent of the clubs around the world because some people and owners are a lot richer than others.
"That's just the way of life. I don't think it has a huge effect because Liverpool have got fantastic players, a good team, a good manager.
"There's no excuses. You've got to go on and compete with the best. That's just the way it is at Liverpool. The expectations are high."
Immediate improvement required
Ultimately, though, Klopp needs to change the dynamic of his squad sooner rather than later. It's certainly going to be tricky for the club to secure a place in the top four but Klopp should start building his squad in this transfer window.
A couple of quality signings should help his side's progression but it won't be easy for the club to land their top targets over the coming weeks.
