Twitter went into meltdown after Dele Alli's superb goal against Crystal Palace helped Tottenham claim a 3-1 win at Selhurst Park.

With the game finely poised at 1-1, Alli provided a further reminder of his enormous talent and potential, with a goal that evoked memories of England icon Paul Gascoigne's strike against Scotland at Euro 1996.

At just 18-years-old, Alli is amongst the brightest talents in the English game; with fans and journalists alike taking to Twitter in droves to celebrate his goal.

Alli was also congratulated by former Tottenham forward Gareth Bale - a man who scored more than a few screamers during his time at White Hart Lane.

Alli's performances in midfield have been a key factor in Spurs' impressive run this season and with goals like that, the 18-year-old will surely be working his way into a starting spot for the Euros this summer.
