Mesut Ozil and Cesc Fabregas have had completely different seasons. While Ozil has been one of the standout players of the campaign, Fabregas has endured a torrid time. 

Ahead of today's clash between Arsenal and Chelsea, there was a huge belief in north London that Ozil would inspire the Gunners to victory. 

That, however, failed to transpire; instead, Ozil failed to stamp his mark on the game and struggled to produce the goods.

Fabregas, on the other hand, appeared to have a new lease of life against his former club as he ran the game from midfield. In fact, the dynamic midfielder was even handed the Man of the Match award for his sublime display. 

The Spaniard, of course, ended up on the winning side as Chelsea secured all three points thanks to a goal from enigmatic striker Diego Costa.

Per Mertesacker's red card in the first-half completely changed the dynamic of the game, but Arsenal would have been left disappointed after suffering yet another defeat against the Blues. 

Unsurprisingly, following the game, fans of Arsenal and Chelsea reacted on social media. It's safe to say that there was a focus on the performances of Fabregas and Ozil.
