The fans in recent times have not been shy about letting Big Show know there desires for him to simply retire, but several years ago, he came close to doing just that.
One month before WrestleMania XXIV, Big Show made a shock return at No Way Out and first encountered Mayweather.
Big Show had been gone for some time and some had speculated that he was considering a career in boxing.
Speaking recently, the man himself confirmed that he was close to leaving the company back in 2007 but and he may have done just that, if not for a terrifying story with super heavyweight boxer T.J. Wilson.
"I remember trapping Wilson in the comer, him getting out of the corner, and then I remember waking up in my Hummer with the keys in the ignition. Apparently, they had taken my gloves off, called the match, and I had taken my bag and walked out of the gym and was sitting in my car with the car running when I woke up… It scared the s–t out of me.” - Big Show's experiences of boxing
Big Show lost his big match with Mayweather but their first confrontation was surely one of the highlights of his career.
You do have to wonder what the WWE would have been like without the World's largest athlete for the last nine years.
