Indeed, Real Madrid will be handed a 48-hour first option on the German playmaker should the Gunners agree to sell him to another Spanish club. The option would not come into place if Arsenal agreed to sell Ozil to club outside of Spain, however.
The Bernabeu outfit also added in a huge sell-on clause should Arsenal sell to another La Liga club in a deal in excess of €50m, which would see the Spanish giants secure 33 percent of any profit made by the north London side.
There have also been interesting details released in relating to exactly how much the Gunners paid for Ozil.
It appears that Arsenal paid €44m over three instalments for the technically gifted star; however, they will have to pay a further €6m over six instalments each year they manage to secure a place in the group stages of the Champions League.
As it stands, the Arsenal faithful will feel quite content over the Ozil signing. The former Real Madrid man has been one of the standout players of the season and may well lead the Gunners to the Premier League title this season.
