It’s the mouth-watering matchup the Western Conference has been waiting for, but the San Antonio Spurs are going to have to take on the Golden State Warriors without Tim Duncan. The Spurs used Twitter yesterday to confirm that Duncan would be out of the clash with soreness in his right knee - that hardly condemns them to defeat, but it doesn’t do them any favours either. Remember, the Spurs are behind only the Warriors in terms of their record this year. The latter boast an impressive 40 for 4 tally, whilst the Spurs follow closely with 38 for 6. Elsewhere, James Harden was on form last night as the Houston Rockets beat the Dallas Mavericks 115-104. The all-Texas affair was a tight one, but in the end even Chandler Parsons 31 points wasn’t enough to stop the Mavs from falling to their 21st loss of the season.
