Victor Wanyama would be a perfect fit for Arsenal, according to club legend Ian Wright.
Wanyama has long attracted interest from the Gunners and with Francis Coquelin still out injured, Arsene Wenger may consider a move for the defensive midfielder.
Though a move in this window looks highly unlikely, former Arsenal striker Wright believes Wenger should approach Southampton for the Kenyan international during the summer.

Speaking to BreatheSport Wright said: "I’ve always seen someone like Wanyama as a great fit for Arsenal; he’s a readymade holding midfield player and I’m sure he could do great things.”
Since moving from Celtic in 2013, Wanyama has consistently impressed with his physicality and tactical discipline from the base of midfield. In under three seasons, the 24-year-old has already made 85 Premier League appearances, including 20 starts this season under manager Ronald Koeman.
Arsenal have sorely missed Coquelin, since the injury he sustained in the 2-1 defeat to West Brom back in November and Wanyama could provide further options to Wenger's midfield.
Despite their progress this season, the Gunners still have an unfortunate habit of being caught on the counter-attack - Willian's pass last weekend caught the Arsenal defence napping leading to Per Mertesacker's decisive red card - and a disciplined midfielder could be invaluable.
January signing Mohamed Elneny could fulfil such a role; however, the Egyptian appears to be more of a box-to-box player, than the more conservative Wanyama.
Considering Arsenal's vast array of attacking talents including Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, a solidifying presence in midfield is essential for the team's balance and thus a bid for Wanyama could represent shrewd business.
