Towards the end of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey quarter-finals against Athletic Bilbao, Neymar and Lionel Messi decided to have some fun out on the Camp Nou pitch.
It was the Brazilian who kicked things off: producing a fabulous piece of skill to bamboozle two of his opponents.
Not to be outdone, though, Messi produced his own moment of magic seconds later. (Scroll down this page to see the Neymar and Messi’s impromptu skill-off).

It was Athletic Bilbao who took the lead on the 12th minute, courtesy of a strike from the impressive rising star Iñaki Williams.
But three second-half goals from Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and a belter from Neymar in stoppage time secured Barcelona’s place in the semi-finals.

Messi is not outshining Neymar and Suarez
Messi has outshone all of his Barcelona teammates for the best part of eight years now, but that hasn’t been the case this season.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was expected to take centre-stage after returning from his knee injury in November but that hasn’t been the case.
That’s not to say the 28-year-old hasn’t been influential - he’s continued to score goals, important ones at that, and provide assists - but Neymar and Suarez have been equally as effective, if not even more so over recent weeks.
However, Messi hasn’t hit top gear yet following his injury lay-off and may be saving himself for the latter months of the campaign and this summer’s Copa America in the United States.
After losing the finals of the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 Copa America, Messi will be determined to win his first major international honour - with the exception of the 2008 Olympics - in New Jersey on June 26.
