Liverpool are interested in signing Poland international Piotr Zielinski, according to Goal.com.
The report claims that the club have been impressed with the 20-year-old and plan to pursue him ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
Zielinski, 21, is currently on loan at Serie A outfit Empoli from Udinese, but his long-term future in the game remains in doubt.

As well as Liverpool, the same report from Goal claims that the Premier League duo of Manchester United and Manchester City have been monitoring the youngster recently. Liverpool, though, appear to be in the driving seat as Jurgen Klopp goes in search of improving his squad.
The dynamic midfielder has enjoyed a successful period at Empoli - he has scored two goals and assisted on five occasions in 20 league games this season - and appears to be getting better with each passing game.

Shine under Klopp
Versatile, intelligent and technically gifted, the youngster would only improve Liverpool's options in the middle of the park. And Goal claim that the club believe Klopp would only develop him further as they attempt to get the deal over the line.
It appears that Liverpool fans may well have to be patient, however; it's unlikely that a deal to bring Zielinski will happen before the close of the January transfer window, but there seems to be a realistic chance of the move being completed in the summer.
It's clear for all to see that Liverpool are far from the finished article, but fans of the club will be satisfied that the hierarchy are already planning ahead of the new season.
