Cam Newton is young, confident, African-American, and winning. And people don't like him celebrating.
Newton dances when he scores touchdowns, punches the air after first downs, and takes group photos on the sidelines with teammates when games are all but won. He has fun out there playing football, and for some reason there are those that hate this.
One of them is Brian Urlacher, who seemed to imply that he wishes Cam was a bit more like Peyton Manning.

Speaking to USA Today, the former Chicago Bears star said he wasn't a fan of quarterbacks that celebrated, like Cam, saying he preferred Peyton's style of a high five and walking off the field.
“I played defense so I don’t like when guys celebrate with dances and stuff," Urlacher said. "You know who I like the way he celebrates is Peyton. He kind of gives the guy a handshake and goes back to the sidelines. I think that’s a great celebration right there."
“You don’t see him dancing. You don’t see him doing all of that stuff. Even when he gets a first down he doesn’t do anything.”
Urlacher’s comments came hours after Newton defended himself and his touchdown celebrations yet again, claiming that it could be his race that has something to do with his negative backlash from some. Maybe he has a point, with Urlacher wishing he would be more like Manning, a white guy.
“I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing they can compare me to,” Newton said.
Newton previously said that if teams didn't like him celebrating then they should stop him getting into the endzone.
Barely any team has managed it so far, however, so we will have to wait and see if the Broncos can finally be the team to wipe the smile off his face in Super Bowl 50.
