Ronaldinho believes Liverpool can challenge for major honours in the near future - but only if Jurgen Klopp builds his team around Brazil international Roberto Firmino.
It turns out that Ronaldinho, the former Barcelona and AC Milan superstar, is a huge fan of the 24-year-old who arrived at Anfield in a £29 million deal from Hoffenheim in the summer.
So much so, in fact, that the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner has stated his belief that Firmino is in the same class bracket as the likes of Mesut Ozil, David Silva and even Andres Iniesta - high praise indeed.

"I didn't ever question if he would be a great player for Liverpool, I knew that he would be," Ronaldinho was quoted as saying by the Mirror.
"He's one of the best at what he does in the world. He's in the same class as Ozil, Silva, Iniesta, and all the other great players who play that role.”

Ronaldinho hails Klopp and Firmino
The 35-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Fluminense, added: ”He's the player that I'm sure Klopp will build his new Liverpool team around.
"Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world, he will know that Liverpool need better players, he will know that Firmino will need better players around him to get the most out of his game.
"I'm sure when he joined Liverpool, Klopp was promised he could bring in his own players, and with Firmino at the centre of the team, there's no reason Liverpool cannot challenge once again."
Firmino is showing his class after slow start
After a slow start to life at Liverpool, Firmino has shown glimpses of his class over the past couple of months.
Against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in November, the technically-gifted South American scored and provided two assists to inspire the Reds to a surprise 4-1 victory.
He scored a brace in a 3-3 draw against Arsenal earlier this month, and also scored twice - and provided an assist - in last weekend’s dramatic 5-4 win over Norwich City last weekend.
