Liverpool fans prank call Everton ticket office after Capital One Cup exit

After your club suffers a heartbreaking defeat, you can always rely on fans of your rivals to make your life extra miserable the day after.

And that’s exactly what happened to one Everton fan, who must have thought he was safe working in the ticket office at Goodison Park following the Toffees’ 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Capital One Cup semi-finals on Wednesday night.

A few Liverpool fans decided to have some fun by pretending to be Everton supporters asking for League Cup final tickets. Hilarity ensued and it was all recorded for your enjoyment. (Scroll down this page to watch the prank call).

“Hello mate, I’m just ringing up to enquire about tickets,” the cheeky Scouser began.

“Is it hospitality or general admission?” the Everton employee responded.

“General admission,” the Liverpool fan said, before adding: “It’s for the League Cup final next month.”

After a brief period of silence, the guy working for Everton - sounding a little confused - replied: “You know we got knocked out yesterday?”

He was then quickly made aware that now the victim of a prank call when the lads on the other end of the line started laughing and insulting him.

If karma has anything to do with it, one suspects those Liverpool fans will be watching their side collecting runners-up medals at next month’s Capital One Cup final.
