San Antonio Spurs can't provide update on Tim Duncan return

Published Add your comment

San Antonio Spurs fans might be wishing Tim Duncan back to health but Coach Popovich has refused to put a timetable on when he might return. Duncan has undergone an MRI on his right knee after being sent back to San Antonio to nurse his injury, but Popovich declined to say whether doctors had found anything of concern. Duncan’s in rehab and we’re guessing there would be a clearer indication if there was anything seriously wrong - all the same, there’s no date set for his return. Elsewhere, Golden State Warriors president Rick Welts has revealed the franchise has reached a naming-rights deal regarding a new arena to be built in San Francisco. The 18,000-seat arena will be named the Chase Center and is due to be fully functional by the 2019/2020 NBA season.
