Paul Pogba is a sensational football player, and he's younger than most of you. Just let that sink in for a moment and then continue reading this story, which will only make the old fogies amongst us feel worse.
The Juventus star, who, incredibly, is still only 22-years-old, is fast becoming one of the greatest players in the game. In fact, his performances in 2015 earned him his first appearance – and almost certainly not his last – in the FifPro World XI.

And 2016 has got off to a fine start too. He scored a terrific goal against Chievo on Sunday afternoon and also grabbed an assist in the 4-0 victory. However, it was the goal he almost scored that everyone has been talking about.

Tasked with taking down a 60-yard pass under pressure from defenders, Pogba showcased his incredible ability to control a ball, stopping it dead with a deft touch before turning and hitting a thunderous shot past Chievo's helpless goalkeeper.
Just a little further
It deserved to go in, but as the great Lemar once insinuated, there is no justice in this world. It crashed against the bar and bounced clear. Had it gone in, it would almost certainly be amongst the early contenders for the 2016 Puskas award.

The future is bright
Carry on like this and Pogba will probably find himself alongside Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the ultimate individual award in football: the Ballon d'Or.
Should he inspire France to the Euro 2016 championship title and lead Juventus to a fifth consecutive Scudetto, he has every chance of swiping the Golden Ball from both of them next January.
