Monta Ellis inspires Indiana Pacers to victory

The Indiana Pacers beat the Atlanta Hawks 111-92 with a finishing stretch of 23-2 as Monta Ellis came up with 25 points.

R ookie Myles Turner got his NBA starting chance and scored 20 points with six rebounds to give the Pacers a much-needed boost.

Indiana had been on a difficult run which had seen them lose three straight , six of their previous seven and back-to-back home games.

For the Hawks Jeff Teague finished with 20 points and five assists, while Al Horford scored 14.

The Denver Nuggets edged the Washington Wizards 117-113 with Danilo Gallinari scoring 26 points and hitting four of his five three-pointers.

Gary Harris and Gallinari hit consecutive three-pointers with 3:16 to go for a 105-99 lead after the Wizards had tied it by erasing an 18-point deficit. Emmanuel Mudiay added 20 points for the Nuggets, who held out for the win.

Garrett Temple had 20 points and John Wall marked a third-time pick for the NBA All-Star game with 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Wizards, who nevertheless slipped to a fifth loss in six.

The Toronto Raptors recorded a franchise-record 10th consecutive victory with a 103-93 success against the New York Knicks.

Kyle Lowry had 26 points and 10 assists and DeMar DeRozan also contributed 26 points and Jonas Valanciunas added 11 points and 18 rebounds for Toronto.

The undermanned Knicks matched a season-high fourth straight loss without starters Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Jose Calderon. Arron Afflalo had 20 points for the Knicks.

Jeff Green scored 21 points and Marc Gasol added 15 points and eight rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies won 103-83 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Greg Monroe led the Bucks with 21 points and Khris Middleton added 15 points and six assists.

Ryan Anderson tied a career high with 36 points as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Sacramento Kings 114-105, a sixth victory in eight games.

The Kings, who suffered a third straight loss, had 26 points and 10 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins. Ben McLemore added 26 points and Rajon Rondo had 17 points and 15 assists.

The Chicago Bulls dominated the Los Angeles Lakers 114-91 with Jimmy Butler scoring 26 points and Pau Gasol 21.
