Cleveland Cavaliers took control in the second half of their 115-93 win over Phoenix Suns as L eBron James scored 21 points before sitting out the fourth quarter.

Kevin Love scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds while Kyrie Irving scored eight points off 4 of 11 from the field as the Suns were sent to a 17th loss in 19 games.

New coach Tyronn Lue saw his Cleveland record improved to 2-1.

Phoenix suffered a 12th straight loss on the road, rookie Devin Booker scoring 16 points and PJ Tucker and Markieff Morris 13 apiece.

Boston Celtics recorded a fourth straight win with an 111-103 success against Denver Nuggets.

Avery Bradley matched his season-high with 27 points, Kelly Olynyk added 17 points and seven rebounds and Isaiah Thomas finished with 16 points and five assists.

Detroit Pistons won 110-97 against the Philadelphia 76ers with Andre Drummond contributing 25 points and 18 rebounds.

Drummond hit seven of his 12 free throws, Reggie Jackson added 27 points and rookie Stanley Johnson had 18 off the bench.

Jeremi Grant scored 21 points for the Sixers while Nerlens Noel had 20.

Los Angeles Clippers were without the injured Blake Griffin but managed to hold off the Atlanta Hawks 85-83 and record a 14th win in 17 games.

Jamal Crawford scored 21 points as Los Angeles won for a second straight night.

Kevin Durant hit two shots in the final two minutes as Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 126-123.

Durant scored 27 points, had nine rebounds and five assists. Russell Westbrook had 24 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds, while Enes Kanter had 23 points and 10 rebounds.

For Minnesota Zach LaVine scored 35 points, Andrew Wiggins had 20 and Karl-Anthony Towns 19, 13 rebounds and five assists.

San Antonio Spurs bounced back from a 30-point loss to Golden State Warriors with a 130-99 success over Houston Rockets.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs. For Houston James Harden had 20 points and Dwight Howard added 13.

Utah Jazz defeated Charlotte Hornets 102-73 and Golden State beat Dallas Mavericks 127-107.
