Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has dismissed questions about his future as manager of Valencia "ridiculous".
In Neville's eighth La Liga game in charge, Valencia slumped to a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Sporting Gijon.
Despite enjoying the majority of the possession and a string of good chances, Valencia could not reproduce their Copa del Rey form, with Neville's third league defeat leaving the club in 12th place.

When asked about the safety of his position, Neville responded in a typically affrontive manner.
"I find this question ridiculous. It's from you, don't put it on the fans" he said in his post-match press conference.
"Please don't sit there and put this onto the fans. It's a big mistake your making, because I think you're misrepresenting what the fans have actually shown out there today, from the first minute to the last and your job as a reporter, I've been a reporter, is to represent fairly what happens and that misrepresents, in my opinion, what's happened out there."
Following his appointment in December until the end of this season, Neville has drawn five and lost three of his eight La Liga games, with the goal of Champions League qualification growing more distant each week.
Unfortunately, for the former United right-back, things do not get any easier this week with Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final against Barcelona.
Luis Enrique's side took a huge step towards retaining their league title last weekend, by defeating Atletico Madrid 2-1, thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Barcelona now sit three points ahead of Diego Simeone's side, with a game in hand.
