Liverpool target Denis Cheryshev could leave Real Madrid, Zidane confirms

Published Add your comment

Liverpool have been linked with plenty of attacking players since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival, and one of them is now within their grasp, apparently. If, and it’s a big if… if you believe reports linking the Reds with Real Madrid midfielder Denis Cheryshev then keep your eyes peeled as Zinedine Zidane has admitted the 25-year-old could move clubs today. The Reds made an offer for the Russian last summer but were told no by Rafael Benitez - Zidane, it appears, is more willing to do business. Nothing confirmed of course, but he is there to be purchased at least. Meanwhile, Anfield new boy Marko Grujic has confirmed he doesn’t want to be given Steven Gerrard’s famous number 8 shirt as the pressure won’t help him. The former Red Star man will arrive for good this summer - he said it would be better to start slowly and build his reputation.
