WWE legend Bret 'The Hitman' Hart has revealed to fans today that he is battling prostate cancer.
Hart, 58, broke the news via his official Facebook account and vowed to "wage a fearsome fight" against the disease.
The Hall of Famer is a bonafide legend of the wrestling business and his news has been met with an outpouring of support on social media. You can read his full statement below.

Hart posted the following message to his 1.6 million Facebook followers this morning:
As detailed in his Facebook message, Hart has dealt with, and overcome, adversity a number of times throughout his life, both in and out of the wrestling ring. And, as you can see, The Hitman is facing his biggest fight yet head on.
"I refuse to lose, I will never give in or give up, and I will win this battle or die trying."
The WWE, in publishing the news on their official website, have offered their support to a man who was, and still is, such a big part of the organization:
"WWE extends its support to Bret and his family in his fight with prostate cancer," they wrote.

Prostate cancer affects approximately 14-percent of men in their lifetime, and, in revealing his own diagnosis today, Hart noted his desire to raise awareness about the disease as he fights it himself.
With the veteran set to go in for surgery over the next few days, the entire WWE Universe will be united in hoping The Hitman can come out on top in this one.
