Bret Hart receives messages of support from WWE stars past and present

Published 2 Comments

Just hours after Bret Hart used social media to tell the world he is battling prostate cancer, WWE stars past and present have used the same platform to show their support for The Hitman.

The likes of Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho and Triple H have all posted their own messages in response to the 58-year-old Hart's Facebook post.

It wasn't just those who had shared a ring with the Hall of Famer who were keen to pass on their support, however. In what is testament to Hart's impact on the business, several members of the WWE's latest generation of Superstars have been quick to upload messages to social media.

A five-time champion during his time in WWF/WWE, Hart is rightly considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. His in-ring wrestling career spanned four decades and he was still active in the WWE as of mid-2015 when he was used as part of John Cena's United States title open challenge.

The reaction from the WWE Universe to his illness shows just how much of an impact he has had on his peers.
