Peyton Manning backs Cam Newton for NFL MVP

Published 3 Comments

Peyton Manning has become the latest man to join the long list of people tipping Cam Newton for this year’s NFL MVP. The Broncos QB, who will face off against Newton in this year’s Super Bowl, said his pier had enjoyed an incredible year and that there was no doubt in his mind that Newton would be made MVP on Saturday night. A passing of the torch? Perhaps. One thing’s for sure - the Broncos are going to have to be at their absolute best if they’re to stave off the Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Elsewhere, two time Super Bowl winner Justin Tuck has announced his retirement from the league after 11 years of playing. The 32-year-old spent nine of those years with the New York Giants and amassed 66.5 sacks over the course of his career. He said he had been considering quitting the sport since 2012.
