The Phoenix Suns have wasted little time in replacing Jeff Hornacek, promoting Earl Watson to the position of interim coach. It’s said that interviews were conducted on Monday with all three of the Suns assistants, with Watson being selected on the back of those meetings. Hornacek was fired after the loss to Dallas on Sunday night, with the Suns moving fast to lock in his replacement. Only time will tell where the franchise goes from here - things can’t get much worse if we’re honest. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant has been named player of the week in the west after notable performances against the Knicks, Timberwolves and the Rockets. Durant bagged 44 points against New York, 27 against Minnesota and 33 against Houston. A fine seven days he’s had.
