Wherever Chip Kelly goes, juicy stories usually follow, and it hasn't taken long for one to occur at his new team, the San Francisco 49ers.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, quarterback Colin Kaepernick has had enough of the 49ers and wants out of the new franchise before the season begins.
However, his departure isn't down to the former Eagles head coach, more to his terrible 2015 season with the team, with on-field performances leading to him being dropped at the time and former head coach Jim Tomsula to be fired. His destination of choice? The New York Jets.

Moving from the west coast to the east coast might be difficult for the 28-year-old as the Jets have expressed interest in resigning Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was a star for them in 2015, but becomes a free agent in a few weeks time. They already have Geno Smith on their roster as well.
A move is unlikely to happen due to the fact Kaepernick still has five years left on his $114 million contract he signed back in 2014, meaning the Jets would have to trade for him or wait until he is cut.

From now on, it might be difficult for the 49ers to invest any time in the 28-year-old as they know he no longer wants to be part of the franchise. He's hurt his starting quarterback chances unless he denies the report made by New York Daily News.
According to the report: "San Francisco would save $8.5 million by cutting Kaepernick, who is scheduled to have a $15.9 million cap charge this season." They have until April 1 to make their decision before his 2016 base salary of $11.9 million becomes guaranteed.
Judging the situation, it might be time for Kelly to find the quarterback he wants for the 2016 season onwards, rather than testing the water with Kaepernick, who wants out of the franchise.
