Manchester City’s Yaya Toure is set to be offered an incredible £30-million-a-year contract in China, according to the Telegraph.
Toure’s future at the Etihad has been plunged into doubt after the club announced the arrival of Pep Guardiola, who will take over as manager in the summer.
The Ivory Coast star has previously been managed by Guardiola at Barcelona but the Spanish boss soon decided that Toure was surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and sold him.

After the news was released that the Bayern Munich manager would be replacing Manuel Pellegrini at City, Toure’s agent admitted that his client's future was in doubt.
“I think Yaya will leave the club. But before leaving I hope he will win the league and all the cups,” Seluk said.
If Toure is offered a £30-million-per-year contract, he would become the third-highest paid player in world football, behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
It would see the 32-year-old pick up a ridiculous £576,923-per-week compared to his paltry £240,000-per-week salary he is currently receiving.
England’s transfer window may have closed but China’s remains open until February 26 meaning Toure could make a move before the end of the season.
The country’s Super League sides have recently spent huge amounts to bring high-profile players to their country.
It’s believed that at least three Chinese clubs are interested in signing Toure but Jiangsu Sunig are already discussing the possibility of offering him a contract.
Guangzhou Evergrande announced the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Jackson Martinez on Tuesday for £31.9 million while former Chelsea midfielder Ramires signed for Jiangsu Suning last week for an incredible £25 million.
Other former Premier League stars plying their trade in Chine are: Gervinho, Demba Ba, Asamoah Gyan and Robinho.
