Batista reportedly rejects WrestleMania 32 return

Published 9 Comments

The WWE are trying to build up WrestleMania 32 to be the greatest of all-time.

Well, that was their plan until half of their main event stars got injured, forcing Triple H to come out of retirement and become the new World Heavyweight Champion while John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and more all sit on the sidelines.

Because the WWE are trying to attract a crowd of over 100,000 to the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, they need as many stars as they can get their hands on. That includes Batista, but he turned down an offer.

According to a report from PWInsider, via Wrestling Inc, the former Champion was backstage visiting at last week's WWE SmackDown tapings in Tampa, Florida.

Vince McMahon and other WWE officials apparently pitched the idea of having Batista appear at WrestleMania 32 as a special referee for the potential HHH vs Roman Reigns main event title match.

The report stated that Batista appreciated the invitation but turned down the offer. 'The Animal' apparently does not want to return for a match or a WrestleMania moment just for the sake of making an appearance.

When and if he does return to WWE, he would prefer something more like a final run with some meaning behind it. Until then, he'll just keep on appearing in Hollywood blockbusters.
