Tyler Johnson will miss the rest of the season for the Miami Heat, but at least no new difficulties arose as a result of his shoulder surgery. Miami have announced that the operation on the forward’s left shoulder was a success, with a one-hour procedure having been performed without issue. As of yet there’s no timetable with regards to his scheduled return, but he’s set to begin rehab immediately so hopefully we’ll have more on that as it comes through. Meanwhile, Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson has confirmed he won’t ask his team for a trade but he might seek a buyout. Johnson said he’s set to meet with his agent within the next week or so, aiming to resolve the ongoing situation. He’s near the end of a $25m contract remember, and wants to play for a few more seasons before he calls it a day.
