Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague has revealed that Manchester United are speaking to Jose Mourinho over the top job at Old Trafford.
Taking to Twitter, Balague has dismissed the notion that Mourinho has already agreed to become the Red Devils' new manager but has suggested that the former Chelsea boss does want the job.
Mourinho, of course, has been out of work since he was axed as manager of the Blues earlier this season, but it appears that he's ready to make a swift return to the Premier League.

It's certainly not surprising that his name has long been linked with the Manchester United job - he is still recognised as one of the leading managers in world football.
United currently sit in fifth position in England's elite division and are in serious danger of missing out on a place in next year's Champions League competition. Clearly, then, Louis van Gaal's job is at risk in Manchester.
Balague gives update
Balague has suggested that talks are ongoing between United and the self-proclaimed 'Special One'.
Taking to social media, the Spanish football expert stated: "On Mou. Nothing agreed with MUFC as yet (and things don't happen till they happen ☺). Does he want the job? You bet! Are they chatting? Yeap."
First-thing's-first, whatever decision the Manchester United hierarchy make, they are going to be taking a risk.
Whether they stick with Van Gaal, hire Mourinho or finally give club legend Ryan Giggs the chance to shine, there are no guarantees that the Old Trafford outfit will get things back on track. In pursuit of redemption, some big decisions must be made, but it's not going to be easy.
