One Leicester City fan will be happier than most if his beloved side continue their form and win the Premier League title this season, according to The Sun.

Foxes supporter Leigh Herbert revealed on Tuesday that he will rake in a massive £25,0005 payday should Claudio Ranieri's side pip Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham to the trophy.

The lucky punter, whose winnings would come from a mere £5 wager placed when Leicester were 5000/1 to finish top, posted his betting slip on Twitter (see below) in response to a joke about the eager few who would have predicted their fairytale season.

And rather amusingly, Herbert also said he made the bet after a few drinks on holiday, following Ranieri's appointment as manager.

Jamie Vardy and company took another huge step towards pulling off one of the most shocking feats in football history with a 2-0 victory over Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, slashing their odds of topping the pile to just 5/1.

The league leaders face what could be the two most important fixtures in the club’s history over the next two weekends, with trips to title rivals City and then Arsenal.

A win against both would see Leicester go at least six points clear of Manuel Pellegrini’s men and eight ahead of the north Londoners to confirm their status as the frontrunners in this season’s race for the Premier League crown.

However, the East Midlands outfit have a tough run-in ahead of them with trips to Manchester United and the resurgent Chelsea among their final few games of the campaign.

Then again, given their incredible season to date, it’s difficult to doubt Leicester - a Foxes supporter with £25,000 hanging in the balance certainly won’t be.
